Does anyone have experience with buying laptops? I am not sure what brand is the best. All I know is that I want a laptop with Intel processor but I don't know if I should go for 4th, 5th or 6th generation and if I should go for i3 or i5. There is no need for discrete graphics and the laptop has to be 15.6 inches.

Don't look at brands, focus on the specs, most important will be processor and vid card, make sure processor is at least i5 (only intel)

It will depend on your budget. I suggest you fix the budget and start checking pc/laptop that fits your budget.

For the needs you said i recommend at least an intel core i5, dont go for discrete video card and keep and eye on the resolution on the screen

Hope it helped
